Safety Personal Safety Program Pyramid Environmental has established policies and procedures to protect workers and the public from potential hazards which may be encountered in the field and the work place. The safety plan established satisfies 29 CFR 1910.120. In addition to the fundamental 40-hour course providing training in the use of protective equipment, respiratory devices, properties of materials, site health and safety planning, fire protection, instrumentation, risk assessment, toxicology and decontamination procedures, each employee was given training to specifically address the activities, procedures, monitoring and equipment for the site operations. At least one worker on-site is trained in American Red Cross Association First Aid and/or CPR training. Protective Equipment The level of protection worn by field personnel is defined by the site Health and Safety Officer (HSO) or designee. Protection levels potentially implemented on sites are Level A and B (Respiratory Protection) and C and D (Clothing). Safety Equipment Basic emergency and first aid equipment is available as is deemed appropriate. This equipment includes a first aid kit, fire extinguisher and other safety related equipment. |
